Context

Procurement managers needed a clear way to track spend, renewals, private offers, and savings opportunities in one place. Before, data was fragmented across tools, slowing decisions and creating friction.

My challenge was to design a dashboard that balanced information density with clarity, giving users quick, actionable insights without overwhelming them.

My process

  • Understanding the problem: I started by learning the business context with the help of stakeholders, since procurement is a complex industry that requires clarity from the beginning.

  • User interviews: I interviewed procurement managers to understand their current workflows and how they managed data before using the dashboard.

  • From AI wireframes to prototypes: I leveraged AI to generate low-fidelity wireframes and quickly moved into rapid prototyping to validate the experience.

Design explorations

From AI Drafts to Polished UI
I started with low-fidelity wireframes generated with AI to speed up exploration, then refined them into high-fidelity designs that followed brand guidelines and included custom UI details.

Designing data tables
I designed data tables that present complex product details clearly, supporting procurement users’ high attention to detail while keeping the UI aligned with their core tasks.

Design Aligned with Business Goals
The estimated savings card represented the company’s core value proposition. This section of the platform needed to act as the main call to action, so I designed it to capture attention and clearly tie user experience to business objectives.

Metrics and Results

  • 35% faster access to key financial insights, thanks to a clearer information hierarchy.

  • The MVP generated 20% awareness among target clients, leading to follow-up conversations and interest after launch.

  • The dashboard’s user experience became a key differentiator in client demos, strengthening the platform’s position in enterprise sales.

My learnings

  • I’ve learned that the sooner I share a design, the faster stakeholders can validate and adapt it. Being proactive, showing work even when it’s not 100% finished, saves hours and accelerates decision-making.

  • I always invest time in fully understanding the business context, especially in complex industries like procurement, to make sure my design decisions are relevant and actionable.

  • I see AI not only as a time-saver but also as a conceptual refinement tool that, when combined with my taste and judgment, elevates the quality of my UI deliverables.
